About contract harvesting
When harvest comes around the combine goes on. The Lexion 560 is a straw walker machine, which is a good fit for the mixed cropping blocks around South Canterbury where you want a clean sample without thrashing the straw to pieces.
A 7.5 metre front covers ground quickly, and a 4.5 metre draper pickup means windrowed and laid crops can be lifted cleanly rather than being pushed along. The straw chopper spreads residue evenly behind if you are not baling, which sets the paddock up properly for whatever goes in next.
